Promoting its PlayLinc online game messenger, Verizon launched a “50 Aliens in 50 Days” sweepstakes. For 50 days through Dec. 29, the company is giving away an Alienware Aurora 3500 gaming computer to one PlayLinc user each day.

PlayLinc lets gamers set up free high-speed private servers and invite only the people they want to play with – limiting the game to players at a certain level of competition. Its VoIP capability and integration with AOL Instant Messenger helps teammates communicate in squad-based games or massively multiplayer games.

Information about registering for the giveaways is at www.verizon.net/50aliens.
